We also went to Maranatha, before and on our first visit back my husband & I felt God's presence and felt so welcomed by everyone during that Wednesday night's service. We were attending a church in Donna where Wednesday nights are so special to my husband and I that we would sometimes not make it on time so we decided to attend Maranatha Baptist Church because it's so close to our house. Well to make a long story short we loved the service, message, and members there and told our 14 year old son to attend with us on Sunday and he felt the love of the Lord thru the message and members, that we stayed. We are now growing, sharing and reading God's word on a daily basis and I would like others to know about how our lives have changed totally. Please be praying for our older son (Isaac) to follow us to church and wanting to obey the Lords commandments. Thank you and God Bless

I was a member of Maranatha, when the church building on Ware was built. I have so many wonderful memories about each part of that building. My mom, dad and my sisters and I would be there every Saturday to clean and set up for Sunday. When I was 5 years old, my parents were getting the Lord's Supper ready for Sunday and my sisters and I were playing in the fellowship hall. I broke my arm that day. I was baptized there, in cold water and sang in every choir possible. There were those days, only 10-15 people would come, but we had a great time anyway. My family and I have so many stories, we could fill a couple of books. I was talking to my mom and we were saying how great it is that you all are keeping God's Love going in the Rio Grande Valley. God bless you all. The next time I come to Mc Allen, I will come to the service. My name is Tanya Bates, formerly Tanya Summar. My parents are Rick and Sue Summar, Carol and Andrea are my sisters.
Keep up the great work!!!!!!!
